Food as fashion is the concept behind Korean artist, Sung Yeon Ju's art series titled "Wearable Foods"; a project which she started two years ago creating beautiful works of art made of edible elements. From top, left to right: Red Cabbage, Bubble Gum #3, Lotus Root, Eggplant, Tomatoe #2, Banana, Spring Onion, White Radish, Winter Mushroom (orange), Bubble Gum #2, Winter Mushroom (white), Bread. Thanks for sharing this, the dresses are so interesting. I used to do Art at school and for one project we did recycling and I made dresses out of bin bags and other materials, but food is a whole other level! I love the orange tomato one, it reminds me of Alexander McQueen's work.
Thanks for your lovely comments.

Wow, they are so beautiful! Food Haute Couture! I can't imagine having the patience to make them though ;)
that is really neat. they didn't even look like food at all until I look closely. so creative!
these are the coolest thing i've seen in a long time... it's amazing what talented and creative people can do!!!
adorable!
mmmmm every thing looks delicious
Love it! Lady Gaga inspired for sure.
These dresses are ridiculously amazing! I can't believe she was able to make dresses out of bubblegum... and bread. Wouldn't the bread get moudly, as well as the food? It would be so gutting having the throw out the dresses when the food starts becoming off...
amazing!
This is work of a really talented person... I love finding these kinds of things through blogs.. thanks for sharing..
stay cool
Wow these are absolutely stunning! It reminds me of the very first season of Project Runway and (one of my fav challenges) the contestants had to create garments from items purchased in a supermarket!

I can't believe this. Are these real dresses. I thought that they were sketches at first. I'm amazed!
Absolutely stunning. I wouldn't have recognised it as food in the first place.. just wondrous works of art
Wow!!! Creativity has no boundaries. Some of them look like real dresses.
These are amazing! I'd have no idea that the fourth dress was made out of eggplant!

This is one of the best posts I've seen!! I would love to have a dress made of food; I'll never go hungry again..haha. My favorites are the bububble gum from the top and the winter mushroom! Such creative works of art! xoxoxoxoo
So cool! The graphic design club I was in at school participated in a contest to make fashion out of paper (and then had a runway show).
