Ever envision what fashion would be like if we were to fast forward into the future? While the big screen has offered its own interpretation of futuristic fashion in movies like Mad Max, Matrix, and Star Trek, designers are also introducing modern day looks that are just as fashionable as they are innovative. The architectural and geometric design, leather/patent leather and bold colors are all apparent elements in these ultramodern editorials; giving us a glimpse into the next millennium. What is your vision of futuristic fashion?

Yes these are very fashion forward indeed! All great looks....
I love these images! Sleek and colourful xxx
I love seeing designers like Vicktor and Rolf mix geometry and architexture with fashion. Adds a very interesting element to the pieces as demonstrated by these photos.
Really great pic selection. Just had a leather dress of mine shot and have a renewed appreciation for just how good some photogs are! The red dress pic is fantastic.
My vision of futuristic fashion is a long the lines of the movie, 5th Element with Milla Jovovich..that's one of my fav' movies and Gaultier did all the costumes!!!

I love these futuristic images - I always wonder if our fashion will head that way, but then i am reminded that we get bored with the same thing time after time, and looks change so quickly! x

All of these 'futuristic' fashion trends scare me. I guess I'm much more of a retro girl. But, it seems, these days everything old is new again (what with 80s skinny jeans etc coming back into style), so perhaps the future will just be more of what we've already seen?
