Before Daria, Karlie, Freja, Abbey Lee or Bambi, there were the Supermodels of the 90s...Cindy, Christy, Linda, Naomi, Claudia and Kate. I admit, I have a mild obsession with these models. They are arguably the models that were in most demand and had the most staying power; dominating an entire decade or more, with most still booking steady modeling work to this day. Their notoriety made them household names and even appeared in George Michael's "Freedom" music video. Included in this post are some of my favorite photographs past and present. With so many to choose from that I may have to post a part deux!

I'm not a fan of the 90's models. They look so far away, so unavailable. That's what I like the models of this years, they look so kind. Althought I love the video Freedom, is such a good song and video.

Oh they are gorgeous. And I do agree with the staying power part... even to this day they are insantly recognizable by even the young. plus they look more womanly and curvy than most models today!

it's the true professionals that know how to stand the test of time... they are the true pioneers!
They were pretty amazing, and way more "super" than today's models. Nothing against today's supermodels, it's just they aren't the diet coke during the superbowl nationwide phenomenons that the 90s ladies were.
